The Details View in Explorer (Windows 9x, Windows Me ) lets you see the file size, path and modification date in addition to the filename.
That's handy, but usually some columns are squashed so the information is truncated while others are padded with spaces.
It's easy to resize all columns so their contents fit precisely.
Open a folder, choose the Details View, click in the file area, and hold the Ctrl key while pressing the plus sign (+) on the numeric keypad.
